Understanding Earthquake Kit

In the year 2001 India witnessed a massive earthquake, with the Epicentre being kutch in Gujarat. The people were facing several aftershocks and had improper knowledge on dealing with the situations. Manthan having an experience of developing material during Latur Earthquake 1985, could develop a kit on earthquake. This kit consists of materials that could give proper information on Understanding Earthquakes, Understanding Seismic waves with help of a simple slinky, Understanding earthquake proof building structures, etc.

One of the main focus of the kit was to explain the do’s and don’ts during the earthquake and what to do during the aftershocks. Posters could be used in the nearby location to make more people aware of Do’s and Don’ts during the earthquake.
