The solar eclipse kit has been a bestselling kit so to say in marketing parlance. We have been using it for years and recreating it for students to understand eclipses better. The kit is fairly easy to carry with 20 activities squeezed into a notebook-sized envelope. It explains through hands-on activities, the occurrence of the eclipse and then helps children develop tools to see it. There is an activity to develop a pinhole camera using a cardboard box and black paper for safe viewing of the eclipse. The kit also includes a calendar of eclipses for the next two decades and places in India from where it can be viewed. Apart from these, the kit also has a game to dispense superstitions surrounding the solar eclipse, which are prevalent in India.
