Hand-on Activities

“To be understood, Science must be an experience”

Realizing this very need of developing scientific temper and orientation of mind that aims at taking an objective view of life, Manthan has designed, introduced and co-produced ‘Hands-on’ approach on several scientific subjects like, Human Evolution,  Astronomy, Space, Solar Eclipse, Earthquake, Modern Physics, Biodiversity, Understanding Miracles, Adolescence, Health, Energy, Sanitation, Health, Women and Child, Reproductive and Child Health, etc.

Such Hands-on approaches are in the form of Activity Kits, Interactive Posters, Exhibitions, Games, etc. These Hands-on activities involve the children in a total learning experience which enhances their ability to think critically and triggers curiosity. The Hands-on activity kits have simple, portable activity material, directly available for investigation for students. The approach is to generate knowledge while playing with the material. These Children instinctively employ to make sense of the world around them by actively engaging in the manipulation of everyday objects and self-explanatory materials from the real world. Such kind of material developed by Manthan is outreached across the countries on a mass scale. Manthan has an expertise of developing material in vernacular languages, which brings success to the projects.

These beneficial projects received support of several state and national government departments like National Council for Science and Technology Communication and Department of Science and Technology that reached several thousands of members and students across the country.
