Skill Development Programme

The Skill Development Programme at Manthan is about creating more self reliance and independency in people with an aim towards providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to the society. The direct beneficiaries of the training are the men and women of villages, of remote areas and tribal members. The population in such areas lack of exposure to modern market, technology and methodologies. This keeps them away from developing their own enterprises.

Manthan thus conducts several Skill development trainings in different such villages of Gujarat State, where initially surveys are carried out on existing skills of the local people and then trainings are planned. The trainings involve improving existing skills, technological interventions, technological up-gradations, designing, product development, practice and production. All such trainings are always backed by entrepreneurship development training programme, marketing training and management trainings, which makes the trainee self sustainable. Special easy to use manuals are developed for easy guidance and reference of the trainees.

Manthan has imparted skill training on manufacturing and service sectors like: Natural Fiber Product Making, Rug Making, Soft Toy Making, Aggarbatti Making, Embroidery, Photography, Videography, Screen Printing, Mobile repairing, Fridge repairing, Automobile Repairing, etc.., to name a few.

Manthan has conducted several special interesting trainings for women audience.
